Andres Krakenberger

Born in Lima, Peru, in 1957, I have lived in Peru, France, United Kingdom, Switzerland and Spain. I currently live in the Basque Country.

I am a translator and interpreter as well as a human rights activist, among other things.

TRANSLATOR AND INTERPRETER

I am a freelance translator and interpreter with a protracted experience in technical and legal translations, and specialised in translations that have to do with human rights.

AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL

I served in various positions of responsibility within the organisation, always on a volunteer basis, including that of Chair of Amnesty International Spanish Section from 1997 to 2001 and twice Coordinator of the Basque and Navarrese groups in the organisation between 2002 and 2008. www.amnesty.org/es y www.es.amnesty.org

In my capacity as a human rights activist I have participated in many radio and TV programs and I have written or contributed to several opinion articles in newspapers.
